School ratings
Virginia rates every school under its School Performance and Support Framework, which scores mastery on state tests, growth, readiness and graduation. The 2026-27 ratings, based on 2025-26 results, came out in October.
- All APS schools are fully accredited.
- 30 of 35 accredited schools raised their framework score by at least two points from last year, and 15 moved up a category, APS said.
- One high school was identified for federal Comprehensive Support and Improvement, and 14 elementary schools had at least one student group identified for Targeted Support and Improvement. Federally identified schools are dropped one category.
