An index of Arlington County public notices: County Board legal notices by month, statewide newspaper notices and how to comment. Questions: 703-228-3130.
Last checked Oct. 19, 2026. Facts on this page come from Arlington County’s legal notices, About the County Board and Meetings and Agendas pages, and from the Virginia Press Association’s Public Notice Virginia.
This page is an index, not the official publication. Virginia law requires many public notices, from tax rate increases and rezonings to foreclosures and estate claims, to be published. The official version of a notice is the one published by the government body that issued it or in the newspaper that carried it. In Arlington, the Office of the County Board publishes notices of changes to the County Code, the Zoning Ordinance, the General Land Use Plan and land-use cases such as site plans, rezonings and use permits. Questions go to the County Board Office at 703-228-3130.

County Board legal notices, by month
The clerk posts each month’s notices on the county’s 2018 to present legal notices page. The October 2026 notices include:
- A closed-session convocation of the County Board at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, in Room 307, 2100 Clarendon Blvd., published Oct. 7.
- Cases for the Oct. 17 and 20 meetings, including use permit reviews at addresses on North Fillmore Street, Columbia Pike, Campbell Avenue, North Harrison Street, 7th Road South and South Fern Street; two encroachment ordinances for underground transformer vaults near Wilson Boulevard and 9th Street North; and zoning text amendments (ZOA-2026-04) on telecommunications facilities and other items.
Each notice lists the case number, address and real property code (RPC), and says where the materials can be read. Planning case files are available at the Permit Arlington Center, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and online on the county’s minor site plan and use permit applications page.
